Allergy Unit

The Private Allergy Clinic at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital deals with all types of allergies, in adults and children. Our allergy Consultants and specialists provide allergy testing in London and the best allergy treatments tailored to each person.

Almost all kinds of allergies can be effectively treated by our allergy specialists so that you get the relief you need and can get on with your life. Our allergy Consultants will appraise each case and carry out comprehensive allergy testing in London to determine the exact cause of the condition and work out how best to treat it.

They will delve deep into your medical history and take account of factors including diet, environment and lifestyle to uncover the reason for your allergy or intolerance and find the most effective treatment.

Our Appointments Team have a dedicated and caring approach to finding you the earliest appointment possible with the best specialist.

 If you are self-paying you don’t need a referral from your GP. You can simply refer yourself and book an appointment.

If you have medical insurance (e.g. Bupa, Axa PPP, Aviva), you will need to contact your insurer to get authorisation for any treatment and, in most cases, you will require a referral letter from your GP.

If you do not have a GP, then we have an in-house private GP practice that you can use. Alternatively we can suggest the most appropriate course of action for you to take, given your location and individual circumstance.

    Our charity

    St John’s Hospice offers palliative and respite care to eight London boroughs and over 4000 patients and their families every year, for free. The Hospice couldn’t offer their essential services without the support from St John & St Elizabeth Hospital. Discover more about St John’s Hospice.
