Greg Rutherford Visits Hospital For Olympic Check Up
8th June 2016
We were delighted to welcome Greg Rutherford to the Hospital Of St John and St Elizabeth this month for a pre-Olympic check up prior the Rio Olympics in August. Greg has been visiting the hospital since 2008 and said “It is a fantastic hospital. Everyone is so friendly and it is a nice place to be in, which is important when you are ill.” He joked “The scanning team certainly know me very well! It is lovely that every time I visit I know I am supporting a charity and its Hospice, St John’s.”
Since 2008, The Hospital Of St John & St Elizabeth is proud to have been chosen by British Athletics to serve as their medical HQ for track and field athletics. It is an honour that the Hospital has held for a number of years and we are delighted to continue to support our Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
The Hospital has a reputation for excellence in Orthopaedics, as well as the latest equipment and technologies to speed diagnosis and treatment whilst maintaining our high standards of care. London Imaging, our radiology unit, is a state of the art digital facility and in the last two years we have pioneered the use of the latest generation of MRI and CT scanners. Staffed by expert Consultant Radiologists and Radiographers, London Imaging offers a friendly and efficient service, with most results available within 24 hours.
We want to wish Greg Rutherford and all of the British Athletics athletes the very best at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games!
