Consultant Biography
Mr Bahram Fakouri is a senior Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. He graduated from the medical school of the University of Düsseldorf/Germany in 1996 and qualified as a Neurosurgeon from a teaching hospital of the University of Bonn/Germany, in 2003. Prior to his appointment at Guy’s hospital, he worked as a Consultant Spinal Surgeon in Cologne Germany, attended a few major spinal fellowships, e.g. spinal fellowship at the Centre for Spinal Surgery and Study in Nottingham and a spinal fellowship at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Mr Bahram Fakouri fields of interest are lumbar disc herniation and minimal invasive operations, lumbar spinal stenosis (Narrowing of the spinal canal), cervical disc herniation, cervical spondylotic myelopathy, spondylolisthesis (slippage of vertebra), kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, adult spinal deformity, various spinal injections, fracture, tumours and infection of the spine.
