Mr Ash Prabhudesai is a Consultant Colorectal, Laparoscopic & General Surgeon at the Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals, where he has a varied general and colorectal surgical practice. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Imperial College School of Medicine, London.

He undertook his higher surgical training in North West London and trained at various training centres including the St Mark’s Hospital, which is a centre of excellence for bowel disorders. He was awarded a Doctorate by the University of London for his research into the treatment of rectal cancer.

Mr Ash Prabhudesai’s main interests are state-of- the -art minimally invasive surgery for bowel disorders, including cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He maintains a special interest in modern minimally invasive treatment for haemorrhoids and fissures. He also specializes in laparoscopic treatment for abdominal wall hernias and gall bladder disease.

He is a core member of the colorectal cancer multidisciplinary team at the Hillingdon Hospital. He enjoys teaching both in the operating theatres and outside. He has presented at various national and international meetings.
