Respiratory Physiology

This is a service that is in great demand in the NHS and there are so few private, quality, facilities available in London.

Respiratory function tests are the most important tools in the diagnosis of lung disorders. The service provides the specialist with the information to prescribe optimal treatment and to assess its effectiveness.

The service is an outpatient based service and all investigations are carried out by highly qualified respiratory physiologists and reported by a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine.

  • Spirometry with flow loop volume
  • Pre and post bronchodilator studies
  • Full lung function
  • Peak flow with FEV1 home studies: Designed to identify outflow obstruction and help diagnose asthma
  • SpO2 and overnight home studies: Designed to detect the oxygen percentage in the blood during sleep using a non invasive finger probe
