Two high-resolution Philips “iU22” colour doppler ultrasound system with a selection of probes allow us to offer a full range of general and specialised ultrasound studies.
Special purpose 'small parts' and 'intercavity' probes are used perform detailed examinations of the head and neck, thyroid gland, testes, prostate gland, breast and female pelvic organs.
Ultrasound is also used to examine the tendons, muscles and soft tissues of the major joints and as a guide for steroid injections into joints and surrounding soft tissues as an effective treatment for painful joints.
This equipment is also used to provide guidance for biopsy, aspiration and drainage procedures.
Consultant Radiologists or Specialist Sonographers carry out all ultrasound examinations and results are usually dispatched on the day of examination.
