The Birth Unit team endeavours to promote a holistic approach by providing a supportive, nurturing and informative environment for expectant parents and their baby, both during and after the birth. We believe in freedom of choice by meeting individual’s needs and involving them in all aspects of decision making regarding their pregnancy and labour. The winner of the NCT 'Better Birth Environment' award 2003, we believe that the birth environment that offers women a range of facilities, privacy and control, increases their opportunity of having a positive birth experience.
The relaxed comfortable surroundings endeavour to put our clients at ease with our committed team of midwives and consultant obstetricians, providing a safe, calm, gentle journey into life. The Birth Unit has international recognition for its unique approach to pregnancy and birth.

The Birth Unit has 500 births per year, therefore we book approximately 43 ladies per month to have their baby with us.
