Physiotherapy
Our Physiotherapy Department provides a comprehensive service to hospital inpatients, as well as providing a wide range of outpatient treatments.
You do not always need to be referred by your doctor to access our services, although we do prefer to communicate with them in managing your treatment.
Our Staff
The department is staffed by chartered physiotherapists and has a cross section of specialist skills and interests amongst its physiotherapists.
We don’t believe that one physiotherapist can treat all complaints, therefore, in addition to our musculo-skeletal team, we have specialists in respiratory and women’s health physiotherapy.
We aim to work as a team with other medical professionals to ensure that an integrated and comprehensive approach to care is achieved.
All physiotherapy services are supported by an occupational therapist working as part of the team. In addition the department has close links with several national sporting organisations.
Further information on all our staff and physiotherapy services can be found on our Physiotherapy Unit’s Website

The department is fully equipped with a rehabilitation gymnasium, neuro assessment room, occupational therapy home living assessment room, electrotherapy and real-time ultrasound for imaging muscle function.
