TV stars relaunch Birth Unit
TV stars Kirstie Allsopp and Fay Ripley led celebrations at the champagne opening of our newly refurbished Birth Unit.
Over 200 guests, also including actor Ian Kelsey and his two week old baby, attended the re-launch of the world famous unit. They all enjoyed tours organised by dedicated staff.
Kirstie, 36, whose sons 3 year-old Bay and Oscar, 1, were both born at the hospital, said:” It is the most amazing place you could have a baby. They have amazing systems of support and I never hesitate to recommend the Birth Unit as THE place to give birth.”
The refurbishment included a redesign of the layout and all bedrooms getting a luxury refit, including new double beds.
Personal tours of the Birth Unit are still available every Saturday at 11am.
