An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic forward-thinking Anaesthetic Practitoner to join the anaesthetic team in our Operating Theatres at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. You must be dedicated to clinical effectiveness and able to demonstrate evidence based practice. You must have a recognised anaesthetic qualification.

Deputy Sister / Charge Nurse Band 6
This is a key role that supports the Ward Manager in: * Providing clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high quality nursing care. * Promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice. * Acting as a role model and expert clinical practitioner. * Supervise and teach both trained staff, health care assistants and student nurses. * Undertake delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of the Ward Manager, assisting in all aspects of leadeship and management of the hospice In-Patient Unit.

St Clares is a busy 12 bedded Day Surgery Ward with single en-suite rooms. The ward operates Monday-Friday, 0700-2000 and care fro a range of specialities which include General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Oral, ENT, pre-admission clinic just to name a few.
