Casualty First: Now open

Casualty First opened its doors on 7th September

Casualty First, the new walk-in urgent care centre at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth opened its doors for patients on 7th September.  This self paying unit treats the full range of minor injuries, accidents and illnesses.  The service in unique in seeing both adults and also children from 1 years old.

Located at the front of the hospital, Casualty First offers the finest treatment at your convenience, without the waiting time of the NHS.

The centre is open 7 days and is staffed by highly skilled doctors and nurses, all with extensive experience in urgent care.  All initial consultations are with a doctor.

Patients can be reassured they are being treated in a fully equipped private Hospital with the advantages of instantly available on-site imaging, theatres, pharmacy, blood testing and physiotherapy.

Should you require an onward referral to a consultant specialist following your visit, an appointment can be arranged for you on either a routine or emergency basis.

All visits to Casualty First and the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth support our on-site hospice St John's. All our profits go towards the running of the hospice which treats over 2000 patients and their families every year.
