Mr Andrew Ballaro trained at the Royal Free Hospital and centers of excellence predominantly in London. He is highly experienced in adult general urology and has a particular interest in the management of kidney stones. He has developed the stone service at one of the busiest NHS Trusts in London, and now consistently publishes some of the best surgical outcomes for complex minimally invasive stone surgery in the country.
Mr Ballaro teaches London Deanery trainee urologists at all levels and has published widely in the fields of minimally invasive urological surgery and basic science. He was awarded a Hunterian Professorship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England for his research into bladder problems and is co-author of the latest edition of the standard medical student textbook ‘Lecture Notes in Urology’.
