Dr Jennifer Jones graduated in medicine at the Royal Free Hospital, London in 1991. After practising medicine for two years she travelled in South America before taking up a post as assistant Medical Director for the multinational pharmaceutical company, Pfizer in Chile where she worked for almost four years before returning to the UK. She gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2000 and carried out her specialist dermatology training at University College and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals, London and also internationally at the dermatology departments of Miami, Barcelona and Auckland University Hospitals. She practices as an NHS Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital where her main interests are eczema, skin cancer and hair loss. The Royal Free is a tertiary referral centre for both eczema and skin cancer. She hopes to set up a dedicated monthly clinic to manage patients presenting with alopecia. She is also head of Dermatology Specialist Training at the Royal Free.
Her private practice is exclusively at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth where she consults and manages patients presenting with a wide variety of skin complaints. She is also happy to advise on the most appropriate treatments for cosmetic complaints.
She is a member of the British Association of Dermatology (BAD), American Association of Dermatology and treasurer of the British Hair and Nail Group (BHANG). She has presented nationally and internationally and is published in the medical literature. She has consulted for a large Multinational Cosmetic company since 2005 and is a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation.
