Consultant Biography

Dr Eric Dan-Goor works as a Primary Care Physician in the private health sector and has based his practice within a hospital setting since 1997. Having graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1985, Dr Dan-Goor later completed the residence training programme in primary care, offered and coordinated by this major London teaching hospital. In 1992, he was granted membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and is now on the General Practice Register of the General Medical Council of England (GMC No. 3108626). Following his paediatrics training, he was awarded a Diploma in Child Health by the Royal College of Physicians in 1991. This reflects his special interest in child care and specifically, management and prevention of illness within the community. Dr Dan-Goor’s medical career has been very diverse and includes various other hospital training posts such as emergency medicine, internal medicine and care of the elderly. This is in addition to a 4 year training programme in otolaryngology (ENT), paediatric otolaryngology, plastics and general surgery.

He is currently a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the Independent Doctors’ Forum, a body of private physicians and surgeons, working independently of the NHS. His other medical interest is that of hyperbaric medicine (HBO). For the last 14 years, he have worked as a specialist in this field and is now a member of the UHMS society, an authoritative body of HBO specialists in the United States (see link). For many years, Dr Dan-Goor has also been closely affiliated with various US and Canadian professional institutions in London. Many of my patients derive from their associated communities. His other interests include continuing medical education and scientific publications (see link to publications). In his spare time, he particularly enjoy SCUBA diving and music.
